Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect automatically a channel number by counting the number of passing times of local oscillation frequencies corresponding to respective channels until the selection of a specific channel in the electronic tuning tuner having a voltage control-type local oscillator. CONSTITUTION:When preset start switch 17 is depressed, gate circuit 15 is operated to send pulses, which are generated by pulse generator circuit 16, to counter 10. The output of counter 10 is increased in the data value, and the output voltage of D/A converter 8 is increased, and the local oscillation frequency of electronic tuning 1 is increased. When the frequency reaches an optimum tuning point, tuning decision circuit 14 is operated, and gate circuit 15 becomes a non-operating state. At this time, three peak points are obtained from detection amplifier circuit 3 and are divided by factor 3 in circuit 5 and are sent to counter 6. As a result, since one pulse is added in counter 6 at every tuning time, the channel number can be detected automatically.
