Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain signals having natural striking sound and reverberation parts by pulse signals and subsequent charge and discharge signals.
CONSTITUTION: When a switch 1 is closed, a transistor T2 goes ON through a capacitor C1 and resistance R2. At this time, the collector of T3 forcefully goes ON and a monostable multi (consisting of T3 , T4R3 thru R6 and C2) goes ON for a fixed time. At the same time, T5 goes ON through R7 to turn ON T6 and in the ON time thereof, C3 is charged through T6 and R10. At the same instant of the monostable multi OFF, C3 changes over to discharging. However, the output signal obtainable at terminal 4 via R11 and T7 is superposed with the pulse signal generated by T6 and the charge and discharge voltages of C3. At this time, T8 is turned ON and OFF according to oscillation frequencies through R13 from an oscillator 3, the actual output appearing at the terminal 4 is modulated and becomes the damping sound resembling to striking sound. When the switch 1 is turned OFF, the damping sound is produced at the terminal 4 in a similar manner. Hence, chime sound may be produced because the voltages are applied to the frequency changeover terminal of the oscillator at the same instant of turning ON of the switch 1.
