PURPOSE:To shorten the manufacturing process for piezoelectric ceramic vibrators and to uniform the performance by forming an electrode on an unpolished ceramic element. CONSTITUTION:Ceramic material sheet 1 of uniform thickness is manufactured by a wet molding and after a drying process, electrode material paste 2 is applied onto this unburned ceramic sheet in a fixed pattern shape by screen-printing. Next, sheet 1 is cut off to obtain unburned element 3 in the fixed shape. The above- mentioned element 3 is burned to attain the baking of an electrode at the same time as the sintering of ceramics. Under the neccessity of the formation of the electrode without polishing, it is required that the smoothing effect of sheet 1 should be high, and consequently a wet molding method such as a doctor blade method is suitable. In this way, the manufacturing process is simplified, and fit to mass production, and the occurrence of a defect is caused in a polishing process, so that the quality can be made even.
