Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve color separation efficiency and color reproduction of images by using color separation filters at the exposure in an image forming method using the specific light transmittable particles and electrophotographic photoreceptor.
CONSTITUTION: A photocondctive substrate 3 having a photoconductive layer 2 on a conductive substrate 1 is charged to negative with a corona charger 4 in a dark place. Next, light transmittable particles 6 are sprayed by a particle sprayer 5 and electrostatically deposited on the substrate 3. Next, the images of a transmission original 7 are exposured by way of a device 10 in which three kinds of color separation filters of red, green and blue are rotated in parallel with the substrate 3 by a motor 11, then the charges of the portions transmitted through the particles 6 cause photo attenuation. Next, the substrate 3 is vibrated by an electromagnetic vibarator 8, whereby the particles 6' having been weakened or removed of electrostatic attraction are removed. When the image acceptor 9 having been coated with a developer is closely contacted to the images of the particels 6" remaining on the substrate 3 by electrostatic attraction, over a heating plate, the colorless sublimatable dyes sublimate by the effect of heat and react with the developer, whereby the colored images of colors are obtained on the acceptor 9.
