Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure detection of ice-making-completion and ice-removing-completion by employing such a simple construction that a ice-making water mainfold is installed above a water plate, and a water-receiving tank equipped with a switch detecting completions of ice-making and icr- removing processes is also provided in such a position and a manner as to be connected to the end of the mainfold.
CONSTITUTION: Water which is siphoned and supplied to an ice-making cell 12 through an ice- making water tank 20, a water-transferring pipeline 22, a fractionating chamber 26, a water- supplying pipeline 18 and a siphoning hole 28 is cooled to form a frozen layer. With progress of freezing and in a state of completion of ice-making process, the siphoning hole 28 is clogged up by the frozen layer. And therefore, the ice-making water starts reverse flow toward discharge side of an adjusting device 32 through the fractionating chamber 26, pressure of the adjusting device 32 goes up and the ice-making water is guided into a detecting tank 36 through a mainfold 38 and reserviored in that tank, and when the water head reached a prescribed level, a flow switch becomes OFF and completion of ice-making process is detected. With completion of ice-removing process, the ice-making water in the detecting tank 36 is discharged through a pipe 40 and a cell 12a, and then lowering of the water head turns the flow switch ON.
