Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture a composite polyester film which can be suitably applied to a refrigerator motor without contamination of the coolant with oligomers, by laminating both faces of a polyester inner layer with polyester layers free from oligomer and having a glass transition point not lower than that of the polyester inner layer.
CONSTITUTION: Both faces of a polyester film such as polyethylene terephtalate film, containing oligomers, are laminated with a polyester free from oligomer and having a glass transition point equal to or higher than that of the polyester film, and the laminated film is oriented uniaxially or biaxially, to obtain the objective composite film. The thickness of the polyester inner film is pref. ≥50%, more pref. ≥65% of the total thickness, and the thickness of the laminated film is pref. ≥ 0.1μ, more pref. ≥0.5μ, each.
EFFECT: The low oligomer deposition results in the stable surface characteristics.
USE: Various fields such as optical field wherein the transparency of the film is required.
