Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase safety on travelling, by effectively utilizing a signal receiving portion of a rear portion of a car, in the car travelling on a rail, which front and rear both ends are provided with a device for receiving control commands regarding travelling transmitted from the face of the earth.
CONSTITUTION: This system is equipped with antennae 2, 3 on a car for receiving signals from a terrestrial signal transmitting piece 1 for transmitting travelling information, signal receivers 4, 5, which detect information contained in receiving signals and put out travelling information, and automatic driving gears 6, 7 for receiving the output, and the driving gears 6, 7 connect a speed detector 9 for detecting the speed of trains from the speed of revolution of a wheel 8, and operate a brake gear 10 in response to speed information transmitted from the speed detector 9. This system is arranged in such a manner that travelling speed is normally controlled by means of the automatic driving gear 6 located at the front in the progressive direction, and the car is maintenance controlled by input signals received by means of the automatic driving gear 7 located at the rear when there happens abnormality in this system.
