Abstract
PURPOSE:To activate or release a brake automatically by detecting a car speed and an engine output and controlling the brake arranged between a transmission and driving tires with detected signals. CONSTITUTION:When a car is at a halt, a car speed detector 10 detects the car speed as nil via a tire 9, and sends the detected signal to a controller 12. The controller 12 activates a brake 4 which is operated electrically through a power supply 13. Next, when the car is to make a start, an engine 1 is driven by stepping on an accelerator, then the output is transferred to each tire 9 through a torque convertor 2, a transmission 3, the brake 4, a propeller shaft 6, and a differential gear 8, while an input torque to the brake 4 is detected by an engine output detector 11, and the detected signal is sent to the controller 12. Accordingly, the controller 12 releases the brake 4 through the power supply 13.
