Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a bearing unit wherein a sintered alloy material is fixed integrally to a rolled alloy bearing material to form a composite bearing material, whereby features of the sintered bearing and the rolled alloy bearing are utilized to improve the productivity of the bearing unit.
CONSTITUTION: An opening part is provided in a part of a rolled alloy bearing material 2C1, and a sintered alloy material 2C2 is pressed in said opening or is inserted therein at the time of manufacturing the sintered alloy material to form an integral body. By this procedure, the sintered alloy material 2C2 generates heat through the rolled alloy material 2C1 by the heat of friction between the rolled alloy bearing material 2C1 and the shaft 1 due to the rotation of the shaft 1, and lubricating oil impregnated in the sintered alloy material 2C2 leaks out by thermal expansion, and filled in a gap formed between the shaft 1 and the rolled alloy bearing 2C1 to form an oil film, and also forms a fluid lubricating state. Further, surplus lubricating oil is caused to fly by the centrifugal force of fingers 5a and 5b and returns to the state of sintered alloy material 2C2, whereby the sintered alloy material 2C2 is used for retaining and supplying lubricating oil to improve the productivity of the bearing unit.
