Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce a swelling of the babbit metal in a dovetail grooved part due to a temperature rise and improve a function of forming an oil film, by providing a facing groove in a location at a face-to-fate position to a dovetail groove in the rear metal of a thrust beraing pad used for a vertical shaft water turbine generator or the like.
