PURPOSE:To provide the subject device wherein a main ambient electrode and an auxiliary electrode can be arranged symmetrically, whereby a high-tension coil from the main and auxiliary ambient electrodes to main and auxiliary ignition plugs can be orderly arranged and handling of the device can be facilitated. CONSTITUTION:When two connecting means 46 and 47 are opened or closed by an ignition signal generated in an ignition signal generator by the rotation of an engine to intermit primary side carrying currents of main and auxiliary ignition coils 44 and 45, high-tension voltages for ignition are induced at the secondary side. Firstly, in the ignition of a first cylinder 32, the high tension voltage for ignition of the main ignition coil 44 is distributed through T-shaped electrode 8 and main ambient electrode 23 to a main ignition plug 36. Simultaneously, the high-tension voltage for ignition of the auxiliary ignition coil 45 is distributed through a L-shaped electrode 9 and an auxiliary ambient electrode 28 to an auxiliary ignition plug 37. Then, when a distribution rotor is rotated at an angle of pi/4, a third cylinder 34 is ignited, and continuously a fourth cylinder 35 and a second cylinder 33 are ignited similarly.
