Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily remove residual cores and streaks formed on the surfaces of a workpiece by giving an eccentric motion to an electrode coupled with the control of the main shaft feeding mechanism, as well as giving a swing motion on an arc to an electrode when the electrode has slopes. CONSTITUTION:An eccentric motion 6, centering on the reference points 0, neither rotates an electrode 5 made of a cornered material, nor affects it in the X axis and the Y axis directions. A swing motion 7 on the X axis and another swing motion 8 on the Y axis are controlled to move back and forth along arcs on the X-Z plane and the Y-Z plane respectively. Therefore, when a workpiece 9 is processed by the electrode which has slopes on its sides, the eccentric motion itself cannot eliminate residual streaks 10 due to steps on the cornered material. This necessitate the swing motions 7 and 8 to be given to the electrode 5.
