Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the constitution, by using less number of expensive tetrode tubes and taking the control system as one system, through the control of only one side of positive and negative high voltage with one tetrode tube and the stable total voltage.
CONSTITUTION: The high voltage source is formed with the three phase 12P type high voltage transformer 11 and the three phase full wave rectifying circuit 12, and one end of the main capacitors 21 and 22 of large capacity is connected to the anode and the cathode of the three pole X-ray tube 13 constituting the rectifying circuit 12. Further, positive high voltage is directly fed to the positive side of the main capacitor 21 from the high voltage source, and negative high voltage is applied to the negative side via the sub-capacitor 23. In this case, the tetrode tube 24 is connected between the sub-capacitor 23 and the negative side of the main capacitor 21. With this constitution, first the tetrode tube 24 is turned off to charge up the capacitors 23 and 21, and the charge from the capacitor 22 is moved to the capacitor 22 by turning on it. Thus, after making the voltage between the anode and cathode of the X-ray tube 13 to a given value, the tetrode tube 24 is turned off.
