Abstract
A power supply arrangement for an electric flash tube comprises a ringing choke inverter B for converting a direct current voltage from a direct current power source 10 to an alternating current voltage, a rectifier circuit C for rectifying the alternating current voltage a charging circuit D for storing electric energy derived from the rectifier circuit on a main storage capacitor 20 of the charging circuit, and an electric load F in the form of a flash tube 27, the arrangement including an oscillation control circuit H having a capacitor 30 which restarts the ringing choke inverter B after the main storage capacitor 20 has discharged through the flash tube. An oscillation stop timing circuit may be additionally provided for maintaining the charge on the main storage capacitors for a period of time. <IMAGE>
