Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent dust from having tackiness and remove dust efficiently by adding calcium sulphate to combustion gases and raising the melking point of dust contained in the exhaust gas. CONSTITUTION:On the combustion exhaust gas passage on the upstream side of an electrostatic precipitator appended to a refuse incinerator, calcium sulphate powder or slurry is added into combustion exhaust gases and raises the melting point of dust contained in the combustion exhaust gases. The test results of adding anhydrous calcium sulphate at 1%, 2% and 10% rates to the dust sample of Na2SO4-K2SO4- PbCl2-ZnCl2 line compounds show that the melting point of dust components rises as the added quantity of CaSO4 is increased. Therefore, even when the temperature in the electrical precipitator is above 300 deg.C, dust does not get tackiness and can be caught easily.
