Abstract
PURPOSE: To keep exhaust gas temp. above the dew point of sulfuric acid and maximize dust collecting efficiency by adding the water corresponding to the amount at which the exchaust gas temp. rises higher than the the acid dew point of sulfuric acid to the exhaust gas in the exhaust gas route from a sintering machine up to an electrical dust precipitator.
CONSTITUTION: The exhaust gas from a sintering machine 1 flows through a wind box 2 and a main flue 3 and is removed of dusts in an EP4, thereafter it is released into the atmosphere from a chimney 6 by an exhaust blower 5. A detector 10 for the temp. in exhaust gas and the amount of gas, a moisture measuring device 11 and an SO3 measuring device 12 are connected to an operator 13. The operator 13 is connected to a water flow control valve 8. The temp., gas amount, moisture and SO3 concn. in the exhaust gas flowing in the main flue 3 are detected with the above- described measuring devices, and the amount of water at which the exhaust gas is raised to above the dew point of sulfuric acid is calculated by the detection signals according to the program having beforehand been determined by the operator 13, and the water flow control valve 8 is opened and closed, whereby the water is added into the exhaust gas from a water addition nozzle 7.
