Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce the tittle fibers at high operating efficiency, by combining a thermoplastic polymer containing carbon black with a fiber-forming thermoplastic polymer to form composite fibers of specific arrangement.
CONSTITUTION: The component A, wherein 3 W 30 wt.% of carbon black is dispersed in a termoplastic polymer, e.g. a polyolefin, polyamide, polyester, or polyalkylene glycol, is combined with the component B consisting of a thermoplastic polymer, e.g. a polyolefin, polyamide, or polyester, having improved fiber-forming properties to form composite fibers, wherein one of the components A and B is divided into plural zones which are arranged in the form of rotation symmetry to expose themselves or extend to each fiber surface, and the other component forms a zone including the center of the cross-section,the both components being continuous along the fiber.
