Abstract

CONSTITUTION: Liquid is conducted through a pipe 12 at the bottom of an gas- liquid separator 3 to be given adiabatic expansion in a capillary type expansion valve 28, and the cool gas generated there is joined with the mixed refrigerant conducted through a pipe 14 at a point X. Meanwhile, the level of condensed liquid in the gas-liquid separtor 3 is raised to reach an expected interface between gas and liquid, and given a stationary state. The condensed liquid is conducted through an escape pipe 25 to be given adiabatic expansion in a capillary type expansion valve 29, and the cool gas generated there is joined with the cool gas from the expansion valve 28 at the point X. Uncondensed gas in the separtor 3 is conducted through a pipe 17, a heat exchanger 5, and a pipe 18, and similarly treated in the gas-liquid separator. This construction serves to ensure a stable operation even if the introduced amount of the condensed liquid is greatly changed according to the variation of the thermal load in a refregerating system.
