Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a blown bottle having improved impact strength and molding accuracy, by setting a parison heated to a drawing temperature in a mold heated to a proper temperature, and blowing and drawing the parison introducing a hot fluid into the parison, thereby contacting the parison closely with the mold. CONSTITUTION:Molds 2 are closed, and the temperature of the inner face of the mold 2 is controlled to a predetermined temperature between 60 and 100 deg.C by circulating hot oil through a heating channel 22. A nozzle 3 is fitted to the opening of a parison 1, the parison 1 is set in the mold 2, an extension rod 4 is inserted into the parison 1 to draw the parison to the axial direction, and the parison 1 is expanded by the pressurized fluid introduced through an inlet 31 until it touches with the inner wall of the mold 1. The blown bottle is cooled in the mold while applying the internal pressure, and released from the mold. The impact strength of the bottle can be remarkably improved by drawing the bottle at an average axial draw ratio of >= 2.5 at the body part and an areal draw ratio of >= 10.
