Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce response lag by PI-controlling fuel-air ratio according to suction pipe negative pressure change rate.
CONSTITUTION: A secondary air injection solenoid valve 6, air bleed adjusting solenoid valves 6' and 6", pressure convertor 7 which detects suction pipe negative pressure and converts it into an electrical signal, and a pressure switch 13 are fitted to a suction pipe 2 and connected, together with a temperature switch 8, to a control circuit comprising a pressure change rate arithmetic circuit. When the mixture gas metered by a caburettor 1 is fed to an engine 3 through the suction pipe 2 and exhausted through an exhaust manifold 4 and an exhaust pipe 5, the control circuit 9 computes suction pipe negative pressure change rate based on the signals from the pressure convertor 7, temperature switch 8, and pressure switch 13; and it PI-controls the fuel-air ratio and conducts feedback control in suction system through the function of solenoid valves 6W6" so as to reduce response lag.
