Abstract
PURPOSE: To make suitable the system to the power supply for camera by effectively charging the secondary cell in normal use, through the automatic selection of a plurality of solar cell units serially or parallelly depending on the changes in the amount of surrounding light.
CONSTITUTION: The sollar cell groups 20 and 21 in series connection of respectively 16 sets of solar cells are provided, the contacts a and b are located at one end of them, and the selector switch SW1 interlocked with the switch SW2 is placed between them. Further, the Zener diode ZD preventing overcharge is connedted to one cell group 21, and the diode 21' and the resistor 22 to prevent reverse flow are connected between the cell groups 20 and 21 and the secondary cell 23. With this constitution, in case of lower luminous intensity, the switch SW1 is connected to a to close the switch SW2 and the charging current is increased by the series connection of the cell groups 20 and 21. Further, in case of higher illumination intensity, parallel connection is made to avoid the charging current from being lowered. In this case, the selction can be made by using the change in the illumination intensity.
