Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to charge efficiently at a wide variety of illumination area, by changing the connection of sollar cells depending on the brightness at external place. CONSTITUTION:The external brightness is detected with the photo electric element and output is produced via the inverter. The output phi is given to each gate of TR602, 603, and 604. When this signal is at high level(external place is at high intensity of illumination), TR602 and TR604 are turned on TR603 is turned off, to cause the sollar cells 601a and 601b in series connection into parallel connection. Inversely, in case of low level(external place is lower intensity of illumination), the sollar cell blocks 601a and 602b are changed into series connection. Thus, by increasing the number of series stages at lower intensity of illumination, and performing parallel connection at higher intensity of illumination, effective number of series stages is reduced to perform efficient charging.
