Abstract
PURPOSE:To stabilize the operation of an electronic apparatus, by utilizing the change of the output voltage according to the incident illumination intensity of a solar battery to control power consumption of an electronic circuit, in the electronic apparatus using the solar battery. CONSTITUTION:The output of oscillator OS is selected by output voltage V1 of solar batteries (a)-(k) or output voltage V2 of part (h)-(k) to change oscillation frequency CP and power consumption of electronic circuit CM. Consequently, in case of a low illumination intensity, the output voltage of batteries (a)-(k) is lowered considerably, but oscillation frequency CP of oscillator OS is lowered, and power consumption of electronic circuit CM is lowered. Inversely, when the illumination intensity incident to batteries (a)-(k) becomes high, the oscillation frequency becomes high, and power consumption of circuit CM is increased, and the operation speed becomes high. As a result, the operation of the electronic apparatus is stabilized.
