Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic control circuit of photo detecting sensitivity permitting easy and high speed operations by changing the bias voltage being supplied other than for the purpose of photoelectric conversion of a photo detecting diode being a photoelectric transducer thereby changing photoelectric conversion efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The electric signal detected by a photo detecting diode 1 applied with DC bias by a constant voltage source 8, capacitor 9, resistance 10, transformer 7 is amplified by an amplifier 6 via transformer 7 and is outputted in output terminal 5. The detecting current of the photo diode becomes larger as the bias voltage is larger and becomes smaller as it is smaller. From this characteristic, the change of the bias voltage owing to the voltage drop of the resistance 10 decreases the detection sensitivity of the photo diode when its output is large, thus enabling automatic control of the photo detecting sensitivity to be accomplished. Hence, the automatic control circuit of photo detecting sensitivity capable of performing easy and high speed operations may be obtained.
