Abstract

PURPOSE: To imporve the performance by adding a bias current control circuit and a monitor circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A current control circuit 2 which controls bias current supplied for an air-fuel-ratio sensor 1 and a monitor circuit 6 which monitors whether temperature of engine exhaust gas rises over a value to activate or not are incorporated. The resistance of the air-fuel-sensor 1 varying with temperatures can be corrected, which eliminates the need of varying the set level of the comparison circuit 3 according to temperatures. When the temperature of exhaust gas increases below a value to activate, the output of the monitor circuit 6 at H level makes an integration stop circuit 7 operate to stop an integration circuit 4. With its output kept at a specified value, an air-fuel-ratio controller 5 makes no feedback control of air-fuel- ratio so that improper air-fuel-ratio may be checked.
