Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A current control circuit 2 which controls bias current supplied for an air-fuel-ratio sensor 1 and an overheat monitor circuit 6 which monitors whether temperature of engine exhaust gas rises over a value to activate or not are incorporated. The resistance of the air-fuel-sensor 1 varying with temperatures can be corrected, which eliminates the need of varying the set level of the comparison circuit 3 according to temperatures. When exhaust gas overheated, the air-fuel-ratio voltage of the air-fuel-ratio sensor 1 is limited under a comparison level of the primary comparator of the overheat monitor circuit 6 higher than a setting level of the comparison circuit 3. Once the level downs under the comparison level of the secondary level, an integration stop circuit 7 operates to stop the integration circuit 4 so that the air-fuel-ratio comparison controller 5 controls the air-fuel-ratio slightly lower than the specified air-fuel-ratio and stops feedback control of air-fuel-ratio. Improper air-fuel-ratio may be therefore prevented.
