Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a liquid crystal display panel at low cost by using the flexible plastics film formed with a transparent conductive film on its surface as a substrate.
CONSTITUTION: While a long-length polyester film (Fig. A) provided with aligning holes on both sides is being continuously run, a transparent conductive film is formed on its surface and resist is coated thereon, after which said film 1-4 is exposed to desired patterns (Fig. B) by using a mask 11. Next, after it has undergone developing, etching, resist removal, orientation treatment of electrode faces, etc. continuously, it is coated with a sealing agent by the use of a squeegee 19 and screen printing plate 20 (Fig. C). Following to this, two kinds of long-length films 1-9, 1-9 for upper and lower panels formed in this way are thermocompression- bonded via the sealing agent (Fig. D) and liquid crystal is injected therein and sealed, thence polarizing plates 25 are bonded on both sides of the film 21-3 (Fig. E). Finally, the film is cut discretely to provide the liquid crystal display panel.
