Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of uneven images in a heat-sensitive head by so controlling the electric energies to be supplied to respective heating resistors that the joule heat generated in the respective heating resistors becomes constant. CONSTITUTION:After a source driver 8 has been held ON at the timing shown by d1, a sink driver 10 is held cutoff during the required time DELTAT, by which the resistance values of heating resistors 1 are detected and the voltages corresponding to the resistance values of the heating resistors 1 are outputted to the respective connection parts between column assigning terminals 5-1, 5-2, ...5-m and the sink driver 10. The respective voltages are amplified up to the required values by an amplifier 25 and are then sent to a pulse width modulator 26, where the times at which currents are supplied to the respective heating resistors 1 are so controlled like e1 thru em so that the joule heat generated in the respective heating resistors 1 becomes always constant. In this way, the occurrence of uneven developing may be prevented.
