PURPOSE:To shorten a memory operation time by providing an address advance read circuit when a required voltage is supplied to only a selected memory unit in a memory. CONSTITUTION:For memory unit group 1, internal address signal 2b of memory address signals 2a is applied to each part of memory group 1 in parallel. Memory unit selecting address signal 2c becomes memory unit selection sigal 4 through decoder circuit 3, and is applied to only the selected address memory unit. Address signal 2a is inputted to address advance read circuit 5, and circuit 5 reads the address, which should be requested next the current memory operating, in advance. Then, in case that the address spans another memory unit, a required voltage is previously supplied to the unit through supply voltage control circuit 6, thereby preparing for the memory operation at the address. As a result, the waiting time for supply voltage stabilizing is required only at the first time even in case that the address spans plural memory units, so that a memory operation time can be shortened.
