Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the amount of enclosed lubricant oil and further prevent the reduction of heat exchange efficiency by separating the lubricant oil from refrigerant and returning it to a combined lubricating oil reservoir and crank chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Even if lubricant oil flows out of a combined lubricant oil reservoir and crank chamber 13 through a pressure balancing path 42 to a suction chamber 32 to be contained in refrigerant gas, a portion of the lubricant oil returns to the crank chamber 13 through a space between a piston 27 and cylinder 26 at the compression stroke of the piston 27. Also, since the remaining portion, as it is contained in the refrigerant gas, is pushed into a discharging chamber 33 while all the refrigerant gas is devised to pass through an oil separating material 58, the lubricating oil contained in the refrigerant gas is caught by the oil separating material 58 while falling into an oil tank 54. Thus the circulation of lubricant oil in a cooling circuit can be avoided to prevent the reduction of heat exchange efficiency.
