Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the performances of a compressor by effectively cooling compressing mechanism without affecting the lubrication with gas and liquid separation passages provided to lead lubricating oil to the mechanism, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The refrigerant gas discharged from a compressing mechanism is sucked again into the mechanism 4 after passing through a discharge pipe 10, a condenser 11, an expansion valve 12 and an evaporator 13. The refrigerant liquefied while cooled in a rising portion 9a with high radiation efficiency of a heat exchanger 9 drips into a space surrounded by the mechanism 4 and container 1 and, after cooling the lubricating oil in the space, it is returned again into the container 1. The liquid refrigerant sinks into the lower portion of a lubricating oil reservoir 7 and froths to fly out of lubricating oil as gas and is separated by the gas and liquid separating passage 5 for leading lubricating oil to the mechanism 4, etc. to effectively cool the mechanism without affecting lubrication by frothing.
