Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a method in which set flow value is corrected by pressure signal of water-conveyance and the corrected value is compared with value determined by pump and water-conveyance characteristics so that the optimum number of pump cabs can be easily and accurately decided.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of pumps are designated by P1-Pn. Signals of flow meter 42 at the upstream side are fed back to a flow controller 46 which is constituted to control a flow adjusting valve 43. The flow setting by this flow controller 46 is regulated by a water-conveyance setter 47. The set flow value by the water- conveyance setter 47 is sent to the input of a function calculator 48 which corrects the set flow value from the water-conveyance setter 47 by the pressure signal from a pressure generator 44. The extent of the set flow value thus corrected is detected by alarm setters A1-An, the output of which starts or stops the corresponding pump through a sequence circuit 49.
