Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately position in a numerical control machine by calculating the positioning error due to thermal displacement of the movable article drive feed screw of the machine with respect to the feeding therad axial temperature distribution from the temperature rise or the like of nuts and obtaining the thermal displacement from the temperature distribution to eliminate it as correction amount.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided first detector 16 for detecting the temperature of a bed 1 as resistive change, and second detector 17 for detecting the temperature of a reciprocating base 11 as resistive change as mounted at the side of a feed net 10 integral with the base 11 to allow the temperature difference calculator 25 to obtain the temperature difference therebetween from the outputs of the detectors 16, 17. This temperature difference signal is fed to a corrected amount arithmetic circuit 28 through a gate 26 opened upon inputting of a corrected amount correction signal f, which circuit 28 thereupon obtains the corrected amount δn at the coordinate value Xn at the temperature measuring point. This signal is then output through a corrected amount memory 29 to a control arithmethic circuit 21, which controls a motor drive circuit 22 by the instructed output corrected as above.
