Abstract

PURPOSE:To unify flanges and copper, nickel and a gold-plated layer, by alternatively plating a core bar in a cylindrical aluminum alloy, which both ends are provided with flanges, with copper and nickel not electrolysed, by plating the core bar with gold not electrolysed and by dissolving the core bar. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical aluminum alloy, to which flanges formed by copper or copper alloy plates are mounted, is used as a core bar. Copper is substituted with zinc, the aluminum alloy is immersed in a plating solution with copper not electrolysed and fixed film thickness can be obtained. The alloy is immersed in a plating solution with nickel not electrolysed, and fixed film thickness can be gained. Such a process os repeated, and the alloy is finally immersed in a plating solution with gold not electrolysed. And the cylindrical aluminum alloy is dissolved, thus producing a waveguide, which surface is coated with copper, nickel and gold unified with the flanges in copper or a copper alloy. Consequently, this method can obtain the waveguide that a uniform plating layer in copper, nickel and gold and flanges are connected, thus eliminating the need for grinding, then unifying even complicate blanks.
