Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily adjust the idling rotational frequency and the concentration of CO without using a CO concentration measuring instrument, by providing a second slow fuel passage and a second adjusting screw for reducing the cross-sectional area of the passage.
CONSTITUTION: In idling, a throttle valve 3 is set by an adjusting screw 14 and a lock nut 30 to such a minimum degree of opening that no fuel is supplied from a slow port 4. Thus, the quantity of fuel supplied from an idling port 5 is set by a screw 8 and a seal 31, namely, the air fuel ratio is set. Because a mixture of constant air fuel ratio prescribed by orifices 24, 25 is additionally supplied from an additional idling port 22, the idling rotational frequency can be increased or decreased at an optimum air fuel ratio within a predetermined range of concentration of CO in the exhaust gas.
