Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain coating film having excellent gloss, efflorescence resistance, and stain resistance, by applying an inorganic coating composition containing glass fine powders to a substrate to be coated, and curing and heating the composition to melt the glass powders.
CONSTITUTION: An inorganic coating composition composed of 100 parts by weight of an inorganic film-forming component such as water-soluble silicate, water-soluble metal phosphate, etc., and 1W100 parts by weight of glass powders having an average particle diameter of ≤100μ, and a melting point of ≤600°C, is applied to a substrate. The coating film is first heated at a low temperature to harden the film-forming inorganic composition, and then at a higher temperature to melt the glass powders. The molten glass fills the minute gaps of the inorganic film.
