Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove such drawbacks as the slip of roll, etc., of the conventional method, for the purpose of obtaining a good environment of lubrication at spraying the hot rolling mill oil, by spraying the oil directly upon the work roll through the spray controller for the rolling mill oil. CONSTITUTION:The tip of the guide 2a of the upper work roll 1 is constructed into open type, and the spray header 3 is installed in this tip so as to be freely detachable, and then, the rolling mill oil, being fed from the feed pipe 31 through plural branches, is sprayed from the nozzle 32 closely upon the roll surface of the upper work roll 1 at an angle of about 80 degrees. Above devices are installed with the similar mechanism in front and back of upper and lower work rolls. At the reverse rolling, the rolling mill oil is sprayed by the detectors 7a, 7b, for the position of the rolled material 9, the controller 8, etc., upon only the entry side of the rolled material 9. Since the oil is thus fed directly upon the rolling part, the oil is burnt away, and the drawbacks like as scattering of oil, the slip of rolls, etc., are removed, as compared with the oiling system for the backup rolls depending on the conventional method; hereby, a good environment of lubrication is provided.
