Abstract

PURPOSE:Slab consisting of a specific amount of C. Si. Mn. Al. Cr. N. Ti or Nb and the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities is heated to high temperature and hot rolled with differential rolling mill having a limited differential ratio, thereby to enhance ridging and deep drawing properties. CONSTITUTION:Slab consisting of C<=0.03%, Si<=0.7%, Mn<=2%, Al<=0.1%, Cr: 10 to 20%, N<=0.015%, Ti or Nb: less than 0.5%, the balance being Fe and unavoidable impurities is heated to 1000 to 1200 deg.C. The heated slab is hot rolled to reduction of 20% or more, (preferably, 30% or more), by using continuous rolling machine having differential diameter rolling mill with 15% or more differential ratio. The hot rolled plate is continuously annealed at 850 to 950 deg.C within 10 minutes.
