Abstract
PURPOSE:To minimize disturbances from outside and detect disorders without fail by detecting abnormality on the basis of two detected values of consumed electric power and the vibration of a machine tool. CONSTITUTION:The vibration of a tool becomes larger as a cutting operation is repeated and the abrasion of a tool progresses. Also, the electric power consumption of a power motor increases due to the increase of cutting resistance. These increases are input into comparison devices 21, 22, through A-D transformers 18, 19. Then, the comparison devices 21, 22 compares the average values of these detected values at each frequency divided pulse interval with the average values of memorized values of a power memory 15 and a vibration memory 16 at each frequency devided pulse interval. A output signal is generated when there appears a difference of, e.g., more than 20% between the two. When this output signal enters a relay 24 through an AND circuit 23, the relay 24 is activated to let a buzzer go off to give an alarm.
