Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove automatically unneeded signals without deriving any cancel signal, by equipping a circuit which removes the pilot signal of a FM stereo receiver with a hysteresis circuit making a connection and disconnection of a feedback loop to and from a negative feedback loop corresponding to the level of the unneeded signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal synchronizing with unneeded signal Vf0 in input signal VIN, outputted by PLL circuit 12, is applied via amplifier 18 to synchronous detector 14, and synchronous detection by the signal synchronized with unneeded signal Vf0 by circuit 12 is made to apply only the unneeded signal ff0 component to hysteresis circuit 16. By discriminating the level of unneeded signal ff0, circuit 16 disconnects closed loop L between voltage control amplifier 15 and detector 14 when the level is low, and turns into an ON state when high to form closed loop L, so that the out- of-phase component of unneeded signal Vf0 as a cancel signal will be outputted from amplifier 15 and then fed back to the input side of mixer 13.
