Abstract

PURPOSE:To stably separate the vertical synchronizing signal included in composite video signal, by forming the vertical synchronizing signal based on the voltage waveform corresponding to the phase difference between the oscillated waveform of a horizontal AFC circuit and synchronizing signal, in a synchronizing separation circuit. CONSTITUTION:Horizontal, vertical synchronizing signals are separated from a composite video signal at a synchronizing separation circuit 1, the voltage waveform corresponding to the phase difference between the said synchronizing signal and the oscillation output from a horizontal oscillation circuit 4 is formed at an automatic frequency control circuit 3, a waveform conversion circuit 12 produces an output only when this voltage waveform is in excess of the 1st set value and it is lowered than the 2nd set value lower than the 1st set value, and a vertical synchronizing signal is produced triggering a monostable multivibrator 18. Accordingly, the separating operation of the vertical synchronizing signal can stably be made, and sure vertical synchronizing signal can be obtained even at variance of received electric field, fine reception electric field or mixing of noise.
