Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve heat resisting capability of an inorganic fiber by providing its surface with an adhering agent such as fluoric surface active agent, etc., so that inorganic substance power is held through this adhering agent.
CONSTITUTION: A meterial holding (or carrying) titania (or titanium fine powder by soaking such a material as alumina fiber into sealant coupling agent, immersing it into titania (or titatium) when dried, drying it at a temperature of approx. 120°C and then calcining it at a temperature of approx. 400°C in the air. Percentage of titania (or titanium) in this material is roughly 50 wt%. As depicted in the sketch, such a substance as sealant coupling agent, etc., is used for an alumina fiber 1 and an adhering agent 2 to be adsorbed around the alumina fiber. 3 marked on the sketch denotes fine powder of titania adsorbed on the alumina fiber through the adhering agent 2.
