Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the good video signals by offsetting the Narcissus effect by forming the image of the heat source capable the free setting of the temperature on the infrared detector only when the Narcissus effect is caused by the cooled infrared detector.
CONSTITUTION: Telephoto system 2 which receives infrared ray 1a reflected from the pickup object is provided, along with scanner 6 containing the panel-type flat reflector which gives the time-series scanning within the viewfield of system 2 and propagates infrared rays 1a given from the viewfield to the same direction at all times at every istant to convert rays 1a into the parallel light flux. Scanner 6 of such constitution is located in the image filed of system 2. In addition to scanner 6, the pickup device contains detector optical system 7 which condenses the parallel light flux on spot-like infrared detector 8. Vertical scanner 6a of scanner 6 is constructed into a plane mirror which transmits the infrared rays partially. Then heat source 13 which controls the temperature via heat source controller 12 is installed near the focus of image forming optical system 11. Thus, infrared rays 14 given from heat source 13 are transmitted through scanner 6a nearly in parallel via system 11 to be sent along optical axis 3 of system 2. As a result, the Narcissus effect can be offset.
