Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture a thermosetting resin plate having a relief pattern which is exactly same to that of the surface of a prepreg sheet for molding, by placing a sheet of silicone rubber on the prepreg sheet having relief surface pattern, and a rigid plate to the back of the prepreg, and hot-pressing the laminate. CONSTITUTION:A thermosetting resin prepreg sheet 2' having relief surface pattern 3 is covered with a cushioning material 5 which is soft under the molding condition and consisting of a silicone rubber; and a rigid plate 1 such as metal plate is placed to the reverse side of the prepreg sheet 2'. The laminate is hot-pressed between a pair of platens 6 and 7. The thickness of the silicone rubber sheet 5 should be sufficiently thick to buffer the effect of the height of the relief pattern to the platen 7. It varies with the softness, etc., of the rubber, however, it is pref. 0.6-2.0mm.
