Abstract

PURPOSE:To record high frequency range signals in high density in a high coercive recording medium by applying coil winding integrally to a core chip comprising disposing metallic magnetic cores on both sides of a non-magnetic material under specific conditions. CONSTITUTION:If the thickness relations are defined at W>Wa+Wb at the time of forming the core chip by providing metallic magnetic cores 2a, 2b of thicknesses Wa, Wb on both sides of a non-mangetic plate 1 of a thickness W, then a pair of head gaps of a pair of rotary magnetic heads of the same shape opposedly mounted to a rotary disc precede and form a magnetic track with the magnetic track formed by a different pair of head gaps of the subsequent another heads in-between. Hence, if the azimuths of the head gaps 4, 4 are the same, they may cope with the necessary guard band width and if the azimuths of the gaps 4 are different, the need for the guard band is eliminated, hence the thickness can be W=Wa+Wb. Thereby, high frequency range signals may be recorded in high density in a high coercive recording medium.
