Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide high permeability amorphous alloy the permeability of which is extremely thermally stable by rendering amorphous an alloy contg. Fe and/or Co, one or more out of V, Ta, Ti, Zr, Cr and W, and B and Si in a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: An alloy of a compsn. represented by formula (T1-aMa)1-bXb. In the formula, T is Fe and/or Co, M is at least one of V, Ta, Ti, Zr, Cr and W, X is B and Si, the Si content ≤25 atomic%, a=0.005W0.10, b=0.15W0.35, and the Fe content is 3W8 atomic% to the total amt. of Co, Fe and M. A molten alloy of the above compsn. is sprayed with high press. Ar gas from the nozzle of a quartz tube to the space between rolls rotating at high speed. Thus, the alloy is rapidly cooled to obtain a ribbon-shaped high permeability amorphous alloy.
