Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify the structure and enhance the precision, by disposing strain detectors on the diagonals on the first plate, having one end secured, of a flexible substrate consisting of one L-shaped plate.
CONSTITUTION: A flexible substrate 4 is nearly shaped in L-form, and is made from one plate, consisting of a first plate 41 of which one end is secured, and asecond plate 42 of which one end is secured to the other end of said plate 41. Two strain detectors 51, 52 are disposed two pieces each on the diagonals, in which the axis at right angle to the longitudinal direction is a symmetrical axis 412, on the surface of the opposite side of groove 411 provided at right angle to the longitudinal direction of the first plate 41. When a load P is applied to the position 421 in the second plate 42 on the extension of said symmetrical axis 412 in the arrow direction, a strain caused by the torsion moment due to the load P is built up in a position in the groove 411, while elongation strain and compressive strain equal in magnitude and reverse in polarity are created in the diagonal directions shown by arrows G, H. Therefore, by differentially detecting the electric signals from the strain detectors 51, 52 disposed on these diagonals in a bridege circuit or the like, the electric signal due to the load may be obtained.
