CONSTITUTION:The steel ingot 1 is taken out of the soaking pit 3 and is put on the carrying table 5 in front of the blooming mill 4; then, the top T and bottom B portions of steel ingot are water cooled by ring type sprays 61, 62, so as to more than 150 deg.C lower the surface temperature of steel ingot than the internal temperature.
