Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove all harmonics less than (12n±1) using three-phase inverter units of 2n in number to improve the utility rate of the inverter and transformer.
CONSTITUTION: There are provided three-phase bridged inverters 1, 2 of 2n in number for operating mutually at phase difference of π/6n(where n=1,2,...), and transformers T1 to T6 of 6n in number applied with the outputs of the inverters, respectively to the primary windings thereof in such a manner that Va secondary windings and Vb secondary windings of the respective transformers are connected in series in predetermined polarity and turn ratios to obtain two-phase AC outputs of phase difference of 90° with each other. When the a phase voltage Va is obtained from the composite vector of the secondary windings of the output transformers T1 to T5, T2 to T6, the lower harmonics less than eleventh harmonics are all eliminated with the result that only (12±1)m (where m=1,2,3,...)th harmonics are retained.
