Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce time required for heating material of uneven thickness, such as wheel, by heating the material to be treated at a highest temp. while controlling the quantity of radiation heat according to detected temp. within furnace. CONSTITUTION:A material 3 to be treated placed on a cradle 4 in the space of a furnace 2 is revoled at a prescrived speed and the thick peripheral section 3a and thin bearing section 3b of the material 3 to be treated are heated by the heat radiated from the first and the second radiation heat sources 5, 6. The first temp., i.e., the highest temp. of the material 3 to be treated, and the second temp., i.e., the temp. in the furnace 2, are detected, and those temps. are controlled by means of a control circuit and an operational circuit so that the first temp. may be maintained in a prescibed temp. range according to the second temp., hance the material 3 to be treated is heated in a prescribed temp. range. This method makes decrease occurrence of failure due to overheating and shortage of heating, and reduces heat required for uniform heating.
